We are the Kings from Texas. We always loved camping and traveling, but didn't much take to tent camping. We got tired
of paying extra for those "screened shelters" (tents with a concrete floor and wooden ceiling) and the fairly expensive cabins
at the state parks so we figured there had to be a better, less expensive solution. And lo! and behold! a neighbor down the
street purchased a brand new pop up trailer. Never having been in one , I was shocked at how roomy they seemed and what kind
of features they had; stoves, dinettes and air conditioners!
After seeing the neighbors pop up, we thought "Wow! Perfect solution!" So we set about saving some money. Didn't
want to go into debt for this baby. Meanwhile, I religiously read the classifieds and we even went to check
out a few pop ups , new and old, to get an idea of what we were looking at. Finally, we found something within our budget.
It was old, but well taken care of and the kids loved it.

After a few trips and within a couple of months we decided that we enjoyed pop up camping so much that we
wanted to move up to a newer and a bit larger camper. (Also, Rob got a little tired of sleeping scrunched up in the full size
bunks of the old Palomino) It took a lot of searching and an unfortunately unforgettable fiasco with Explore USA
(definitely no recommendation there!)before we found our second pop up: a 1995 Jayco 1206 at Camping World in
New Braunfels (big plug for those guys!) and now we're camping in a 1996 Rockwood Signature Series 1260 which we bought off
eBay.
We'll be posting pictures and reviews of our camping trips and the parks we stay at, so stay tuned.
The world is ours to explore! (Well, as long as there's not a large body of water in the way.)
